Peaceable Primate Sanctuary Volunteer Program

Peaceable Primate Sanctuary welcomes volunteers who have a love for animals and a passion for supporting their community. We value individuals of all backgrounds, knowledge levels and skill sets and strive to provide a well-rounded and rewarding volunteer experience. As you grow with us, there will be opportunities to take on more advanced responsibilities.

Our volunteers play a vital role in helping the sanctuary run smoothly and ensuring our animals receive the care they deserve.

As a volunteer, you will gain insight on day-to-day operations of a primate sanctuary, have chances to work with our dedicated keepers and learn about our retired primates who call Peaceable Primate Sanctuary home!

Once your application has been submitted, our coordinator will be in touch. We are currently offering two orientation sessions a year and attendance is required at one before getting started with us. We understand life is busy, we are flexible and are happy to work with your schedule!

In addition to our individual volunteers, PPS also welcomes groups (corporate, school, clubs, etc.) throughout the year for special projects. Contact volunteer@peaceableprimates.org to discuss group options!

If you are interested in becoming a PPS volunteer, please complete the application form below and our volunteer coordinator will get back to you. For questions, feel free to contact us at volunteer@peaceableprimates.org or call the office at (574) 896-0590.

Please note: Due to the amount of specialized training, volunteers do not work directly with primates.
